Editorial Inspiration

NARSs editorial looks, don't differ too far from their advertisements looks. The only real difference being they have a  slightly stronger makeup look and tend to use more colours. This would be due to the fact that the advertisement campaigns are targeted to a certain range of makeup, what they're trying to sell at the minute. Here are a few examples of the editorial looks NARS create. The first two images are from Vogue Korea:

In regards to this whole shoot, I took a lot of inspiration from the David Koma AW16-17 show. This is in relations to makeup and clothing style of the shoot. Firstly, I saw the makeup from the back stage images on the NARS Cosmetics Facebook page, so I decided to have a look through and found these pictures:

The eyes are simple with just a half black eyeliner around the inner part of the eye, but I believe its so effective to make a look. For the second makeup look, I knew I wanted to use the blue eyeshadow colour from NARSs Spring 16 collection, so I mixed it with my M.A.C mixing medium and created this amazing blue eyeliner colour.

For the clothing, I thought about having something matching but not the same on each of my models. I found this picture, also on the NARS Cosmetic Facebook page from the same David Koma catwalk:

It really appealed to me, I liked how the models were effectively wearing the same thing but they weren't. I wanted to recreate this in my own shoot. Here is the moodboard that I made for this look. As they are both extremely similar, I've only made one moodboard for this, but you can see both of the looks on here:

Here are my two face charts for these looks:
